The hawk was in a neighbor’s yard and as I tried to sneak out to take its photo, the bird flew right next to my house.
I was quite startled to see it right in front of me and it was patient enough for a shot or two.
The hawk was large, crow sized, and the blurred side view is more Cooper’s than Sharp-shinned.

It was a commission for an illustration for a poster thing… for a company that had stores in NZ, Australia, and Singapore. These two guys are the Australian and Singapore animals… the numbat I posted a while ago was the Australian animal.
